This surprise winter Snoqualmie Pass elopement started as a gorgeous styled shoot showcasing some incredible Seattle area vendors. I was so excited to be asked to participate in photography for this shoot! Snoqualmie Pass is one of the most incredible areas in Washington State — a popular area for skiing and snowshoeing, as well as hiking during the summer months, Snoqualmie is famous for it’s waterfall, epic mountain peaks, and outdoor recreation.
If you’re looking for a spectacular location for a Seattle elopement or even an engagement or anniversary session, Snoqualmie is definitely a location to consider! Our team chose a spot along the river near the trailhead for Franklin Falls. We loved the combination of the dark, snowy trees against the wintery river, and there was just enough space along the riverbank for a beautiful sweetheart table!
Two Ks Beauty helped create a timeless updo and ethereal bridal look for our model Rachel. Her fiancé Garrett wore a stylish blue suit with a patterned shirt and berry-colored tie. I love when a groom gets creative with the patterns and colors in their outfit, and Garrett’s look was the perfect inspiration!
Rachel wore a stunning lace gown from Meamarie Bridal with a dramatic tulle overskirt. The detail in the intricate lace was a perfect complement to the textural florals.
Lori of Elegant Affairs was essential in creating a beautiful tablescape for our sweetheart table. Lori used rentals from Vintage Ambiance and American Party Place to create a stylish scene against the snowy background. Gilded flatware and chargers echoed the gold details in the florals. Floor lanterns, bright magenta velvet chairs, and a charming round cake table completed the scene. Simply Sweet
A huge star of the shoot was the floral arrangements. Shane of Oak and Fig Floral created some of the most stunning and original floral combinations I’ve ever seen! Using the berry and wine colors that were repeated throughout the rest of the styling, Shane layered hellebore, anemone, lush magenta roses, begonia leaves, and a dramatic protea to create some of the most textural and unique florals I’ve ever seen!
Another highlight of the shoot was the gorgeous stationary from Sablewood Paper Company. From the sweet beribboned vow books to the vellum invitation, floral envelope liners, and elegant cursive script, the invitation suite was incredibly lovely.
It was obvious throughout the shoot that Rachel and Garrett were deeply in love! At the last minute during the process of planning the shoot, they decided to have a few close family and friends join them afterwards and say their vows to one another for real! It was an incredible experience to witness a real wedding at the edge of the tumbling river, surrounded by the towering evergreens and snowy PNW landscape.
