Navy and Blush Wedding with Gather Design Co. | Krystal & Brad

It was a misty spring day at the Seattle LDS Temple in Bellevue, Washington when Brad and Krystal’s nearest and dearest gathered to greet the newlyweds and celebrate their wedding day. The Temple grounds provided a lovely northwest backdrop with evergreen trees and a secluded meditation garden that created an ideal spot for romantic portraits of the bride and groom. The couple’s two adorable sons added to the light and laughter of the day! Krystal made a special request for a “silly faces” photo with Brand and her boys, and it’s one of my favorites from the day!

Brad and Krystal’s sweet affection for one another was so obvious you could have cut it with a knife– it permeated the air and buoyed everyone on a rising wave of joy. Every time I encountered them throughout their wedding day, I saw one or the other of them reaching out towards the other, often without looking. Even when engaged in conversation with separate individuals, you could bet they’d be holding hands. I heard it on the lips of their friends— “Oh, those two are never far apart!” “They’re joined at the hip,” “Wherever you find one of them, you can bet the other isn’t too far away!” You can tell each of these lovely people is an anchor and a beacon for the other one.

I’ve been hoping to work with Amy of Gather Design Co. after seeing her beautiful floral artistry, and she certainly didn’t disappoint! Krystal’s stunning bouquet was a vision of spring in soft pink garden roses, fluffy white peonies, anemones, love-in-a-mist, raspberry leaf, mint, and maidenhair fern. The bridesmaids’ bouquets and groomsmen’s boutonnieres were a lovely complement to the showstopping bridal bouquet, and the soft tones of pink, blush, white, and ivory were perfect against the bridal party’s navy blue attire! Amy’s lovely arrangements and twinkling votives also adorned the reception tables during the reception dinner at The Loft at Russel’s in Bothell, WA.

The Loft made a breathtaking reception venue with its high, arching ceiling and beautiful wood floors and walls. Strings of lights added to the joyous atmosphere, and the navy and blush color scheme was repeated in flowers, candlelight, and the lovely sweetheart table. I was lucky enough to sneak the couple out for a few more portraits on a nearby trail, surrounded by the lush greenery of spring. Brad and Krystal ended the reception with a festive sparkler send-off under the trellised walkway outside!
