Romantic Discovery Park Engagement Portraits | Julie & Seth

Oh, I don’t even have the words for this one. These images are some of the best I’ve ever taken! My little heart is just bursting with happiness over the scenery and the colors, not to mention the most lovely light a Seattle spring evening could afford—and I loved getting to work with Julie and Seth to create magic for their romantic engagement portraits at Discovery Park. Their chemistry is so sweet, affectionate, and occasionally a little spicy! I couldn’t be more excited for their Fireseed Catering wedding next year on Whidbey Island! With clients this sweet and a gorgeous location, it’s sure to be one to remember.

We’re so lucky in Seattle to have gorgeous places like Discovery Park only a stone’s throw away from the hustle and bustle of the city! When I was in college at Seattle Pacific University, I would often take a bus over to Discovery Park whenever I felt homesick. The towering Douglas fir trees and pebbled beaches remind me so much of growing up on the Olympic Peninsula! I’ve been visiting Discovery Park for almost a decade now, and it never fails to surprise me. There’s always a little nook or new trail I haven’t explored before, in addition to the old favorites like the forested trail to the beach and the grassy meadows. I was so excited to discover a field of lupines on this visit! Lupines are one of my favorite Pacific Northwest wildflowers. They often show up in swaths of color alongside the highway, and I’ve been known to pull my car over on the shoulder to forage an armful now and then!
