It was such an honor to capture the Dameron family earlier this spring in the Washington Park Arboretum! The Arboretum is easily one of my very favorite spots in Seattle—with a few miles of trails to explore and a cascade of blooms throughout the seasons, it’s pretty easy to see why! If you know me, you’re probably aware that I have a thing for plants and flowers, and the Arboretum abounds in northwest natives and interesting species from around the world. Spring is especially spectacular, with camellia, cherry trees, forsythia, rhododendrons, and azealas being only a few of the gorgeous blooms on view!
I’ve known the Damerons for a few years and it’s been a joy to see their sweet family grow. The evening light created the perfect atmosphere for relaxed images focusing on the laughter and love between them.

Seattle appears to have a lot of great portrait session locations, and the arboretum is beautiful! Look at the adorable smiles on that sweet little girl! This family looks like they had fun at their portrait session, and I am sure they felt like it was play time and not just sit and say “cheese” time. That makes their smiles genuine!
