Today’s post is a trip down memory lane to one of my all-time-favorite weddings from a few years ago. It also happens to be the couple’s anniversary, so I thought it was the perfect time to post a few of my favorite images from this lovely wedding! The bride created a dreamy vision of lace, crochet, baby’s breath, and antiques that was so perfect for December, but still timeless and chic. For purposes of full disclosure—the bride and groom Sarah and Jeffrey are my cousins, but that bias doesn’t completely explain away my love for this beautiful vintage wedding! Starting with Sarah’s stunning crocheted BHLDN gown and soft, raven-black tresses, her flawless taste in the bridesmaid’s soft grey ensembles, the perfectly adorable little flower girls, and the clouds of baby’s breath that adorned the barn and ceremony arbor, all the details of this wedding worked together to create an ethereal winter wonderland.
Despite periods of downpour interspersed with cool winter mist, the day was effervescent with joy. The overcast skies created the most beautiful pearly-gray light, and the beautiful antique barn provided just enough shelter for stunning romantic portraits of the bride and groom. One of my favorite aspects was the use of lighting after dusk—from the strings of lights on the garden arbor to the cafe lights illuminating the reception tent once night fell. It meant so much to me to celebrate with Jeffrey and Sarah on their beautiful wedding day—Happy Anniversary and here’s to many more!!
