Oh, this wedding! When you’re on the Olympic Peninsula, celebrating the beauty of the environment around you isn’t hard to do! On a warm day at the end of summer, Nicole & Tyler were married at the edge of the forest on a friend’s property just outside Port Angeles. Their wedding was relaxed, foresty, bohemian, and a little bit rustic, with lots of romance and the sweetest bride and groom you ever did see! The wedding celebration extended beyond the day of the ceremony itself — friends and family camped on the property during the week prior, lending a laid-back feel to the festivities. The backdrop for the ceremony was a handmade wooden arbor festooned with peachy sprays of roses, lilies, hydrangeas and hop vines, which was only overshadowed by a stunning view of the Olympic Mountains. The bride’s sister, owner of MOSS PA, lent her design skills and gorgeous decor, and the groom’s mother created the incredible bouquets and floral arrangements. After trialing and rejecting other dresses, Nicole finally found her tiered lace gown from Spell Designs—and it suited her perfectly! The bridesmaids each selected their own dresses in shades of blush and pink with lace details, and the groomsmen wore tan trousers and vests with patterned ties. Tyler added a tweed driver’s cap for a perfectly gentlemanly ensemble!
A highlight of the decor was the bride and groom’s vintage canvas wedding tent, which overlooked the ceremony and provided the perfect vintage ambience for the relaxed reception. Local folk-grass band Good Machine played lively folksy tunes that were perfect for dancing. You can even listen to their EP here!!
