The moments during a bride’s preparation for her wedding day are so sweet and emotional. These photos were taken in a beautiful suite at the Davenport Hotel Spokane just minutes before the bride and groom saw one another for the first time that day. I love to start photography of a wedding during the time when a bride is getting ready, preparing to meet her future husband. The anticipation is palpable! To tell the whole story of a wedding day, it’s important to me to be there from start to finish.

The Davenport is an historic luxury hotel in Spokane. The historic hallways feature beautiful, ornate decor and photographs of people and events from the hotel’s history. The hotel truly exudes the elegance of a forgotten era. You feel transported to another place and time – right in Spokane, Washington. It was the perfect place to get ready for a Spokane wedding. The emotions and nerves, the sweet moments with bridesmaids and the bride’s mother: I never get tired of getting to be a “fly on the wall” while a bride gets ready for her big day!
