I guess it’s probably a really good thing I like road trips – this summer is going to be full of them! May and June have already brought journeys to Spokane & Snohomish, WA, and Coos Bay, OR, as well as my usual destinations of Seattle, Sequim, and Port Angeles WA. Here’s a few of my favorite shots from recent travels, wedding-related and otherwise.
An ethereal spring sunset over Lake Union in Seattle:
Another Seattle shot: the side exterior of the very glamorous Sorrento Hotel on Madison.
Alder reflections on Lake Crescent…
An obliging shrubbery in Fremont, Seattle:
A yummy evening snack in Edmonds, WA: pita, tzatziki, kalamatas, and some cracker-things.
A pastoral country scene just outside Spokane:
Sunset showing off over the Strait of Juan de Fuca:
Seward Park in southeast Seattle, on the shore of Lake Washington:
Sunrise over my favorite daisy field in Sequim:
Somewhere in Eastern WA, en route from Spokane back to Seattle:
The familiar road between Hood Canal and Discovery Bay, on the Olympic Peninsula:
More Lake Crescent:
Elegant afternoon tea at the Empress Hotel in Victoria, featuring elegant scones and elegant jam (everything at the Empress is elegant):
The exterior of the equally glamorous and historic Davenport Hotel in Spokane:
Just after sunset over the Strait of Juan de Fuca:
Golden light in downtown Spokane:
A secret mountain hideaway near Sequim Bay, Olympic Peninsula:
Another shot from the highway between Spokane and Seattle:
Stay tuned for more groundbreaking pictures of the clouds, trees, and flowers of Western Washington. I might get real crazy and throw in a self portrait now and then… my new iPhone does that reverse camera thing and I’m kinda getting carried away.
