Nestled into the woods on the east side of Forks, Washington, is an enchanted forest wedding venue that will amaze you. I had the opportunity to visit and photograph the incredible gardens and ceremony site recently, and I was amazed by the beauty of the Fern Acres wedding venue! The five-acre property has been lovingly tended to over the last several decades as the owners have created an incredible landscape that blends with the surrounding evergreen forests. Perennial gardens with Asian and English design influences surround the house and wedding tent, which can accommodate 225 seated guests. The forest ceremony site has seating for up to 150 on rustic wood benches.
Words really don’t convey the magic of the charming ceremony area. Moss grows between elegant stone pavers that offer comfortable walkways while preserving the hidden-forest-sanctuary feeling. If you’re envisioning a Washington State forest wedding, this pretty much suits that to a tee. Just imagine walking down the mossy aisle toward your beloved under a canopy of arching evergreen branches! There are so many options for a beautiful ceremony arbor here. You could go modern with a geometric triangle or circle or a beautiful floral installation!
