We ventured to Barnes Point at Lake Crescent and Salt Creek State Park for some relaxed portraits of Emily to celebrate this season in her life! I couldn’t help but think about what I felt like at that time in my own life (it wasn’t that long ago, geez!) and what I would want to tell my younger self at that age. I was so unsure of who I was and whether or not people would like me, so hesitant to just exist as myself. It’s taken over a decade to start owning myself and being less afraid to show up, but I think I’m getting there.
Emily’s grace and poise made it such a joy to capture these portraits! There are so many gorgeous places to choose from for photos on the Olympic Peninsula, but Lake Crescent and the beaches at Salt Creek are some of my favorites. When you grow up surrounded by forests, mountains, and water you can’t help but be spoiled for natural beauty! As Emily starts her senior year in Port Angeles, I’m sure she’s excited for the big changes on the horizon. I can’t wait to see where she goes in the next few years!
