Summer Evening Engagment at the University of Washington | Wendy & Jon

Even after years of having a spouse in classes at the University of Washington, through undergrad and now graduate courses, I still managed to forget just how beautiful the UW campus can be. Especially on a balmy summer evening! Of course UW is famous for its cherry blossoms, Red Square, and Suzzalo Library, but there are a thousand hidden nooks and corners to explore and the most amazing, lush landscaping to take advantage of as well! The University of Washington campus is a special place for Wendy and Jon, as they’re both alums of the respected Seattle school.  We spent a delightful couple hours wandering through the Quad, the Grieg Garden, made a visit to Drumheller fountain and the adjacent rose garden, and the Sylvan Theater with its striking columns. And we could have easily spent another few hours exploring! Wendy and Jon’s sweet pup Hina (pronounced hee-nah) came along with us and helpfully posed for a few photo ops! She was such a sweet, energetic presence and kept us laughing throughout the session.  What I loved most was the way Jon could make Wendy laugh, and her sweet smile was the highlight of the whole session! They’re getting married at J.M Cellars in less than a month and I’m so excited to see them again soon!
