Although the seasons were just changing and the day dawned with a breath of autumn fog, Kourtney & Brian’s wedding day was bright and green with summer’s joy. Kourtney and Brian were married in a family friend’s backyard against a backdrop of soaring Pacific Northwest firs. Their rustic, down-to-earth wedding day featured a gorgeous antique […]
The late September sunlight had a particularly golden glow as it filtered through the whispering canopy of maples and fir at Priest Point Park in Olympia, Washington. That glow extended to the radiant bride and her happy groom—all day they snuck furtive kisses and giddy glances at one another, as though they each couldn’t quite […]
I can’t think of anything lovelier than an summer wedding in a garden; Kate & David held their July nuptials at Fern Hollow, in Sequim Washington, in the foothills of the Olympic Mountains. Surrounded by the chatter and laughter of her vivacious bridesmaids, Kate made her bridal preparations in a private suite in the main house […]
There’s just no way I could pick a favorite 2014 wedding—but if you twisted my arm and bribed me with chocolate covered espresso beans, I might mention Mackenzie and Ernie’s magical wedding day at NatureBridge on Lake Crescent. On a misty day in June, Jacque and Ryan said their vows to one another on the shore of Lake Crescent. Lake Crescent Lodge provides an enchanting spot for a lakeside meadow ceremony, with the waves softly lapping in the background and deer strolling through the evergreens. Jacque’s green and navy blue details perfectly complemented […]
Laura and Jamie’s intimate Cutting Garden wedding in Sequim Washington was perfect. Surrounded by only their closest family and friends, the bride and groom said their vows in a flower garden at the peak of its glorious bloom in front of a yellow farmhouse. Laura’s purple details were accentuated by an effusion of flowers in a field […]
This sunny Port Angeles Wedding was stunning! The bride prepared for the day in a room bustling with sweet bridesmaids, family, and friends at the Olympic Lodge. A flurry of activity surrounded Cortney as she got ready. Cortney’s mother helped her don a beautiful gown with a cascade of ruffles for the skirt, finished with […]

This was one of those fairytale days… A beautiful garden venue just at the turn of the seasons from summer to early fall, a bride and groom with eyes only for one another, a slew of charming details thought out to near perfection, and a host of guests with whom to celebrate.
It never ceases to amaze me that I’m invited to participate in one of the most singular and incredible days in the lives of people who start as perfect strangers. It’s a privilege I hope to never take for granted… to nearly become family for one brief, ephemeral day. I like to think I’ll see […]
