Hey there! Welcome to my blog—Make yourself comfy and look around! As an Olympic Peninsula, Olympic National Park, San Juan Islands, Seattle, Whidbey Island, and destination wedding photographer, I want to be a resource for you as you put together your own wedding day. Browse around, have a look, and let me know your questions! I'm so happy you're here, and I hope you want to get in touch so we can chat about your wedding day.
As a Lake Crescent Lodge Elopement and Wedding Photographer, there’s nothing I love more than an intimate Lake Crescent Elopement. Just 30 minutes west of Port Angeles, Washington, Lake Crescent is a spectacular freshwater lake nestled in the Olympic Mountains. The emerald peaks soar above the brilliant azure water, and on a late fall day like this one they’re often dusted with snow. Erin and Don opted to get ready together in one of the Lodge’s historic lakefront cabins. I love when couples choose to spend a little extra time together on the morning of their wedding day! The rest of the day is often a blur, so taking the time to connect with one another while you get ready is a great option for some couples!
Like many PNW November days at Lake Crescent, there was some intermittent drizzle. Thankfully we were able to finish Erin and Don’s portraits on the shore of Lake Crescent beforehand! Once it was time for the ceremony, we made the very short trek over to a neighboring conference center that thankfully had a great indoor space to keep everyone dry. After the ceremony, it was back to Lake Crescent Lodge for a beautiful dinner catered by the Lodge staff. One of my favorite parts of every wedding is listening to family and friends toast the bride and groom during dinnertime. It’s always special to get a peek at the relationships that surround the couple, and the meaningful moments that have shaped their story.
If you’re thinking about a Lake Crescent Lodge Elopement or Wedding, you’ll need to get a permit from Olympic National Park for your ceremony! You can opt for one of the Lake Crescent venues, Lake Crescent Lodge, NatureBridge, or the Log Cabin Resort. Or you can have an elopement or tiny ceremony almost anywhere along the lakeshore! There are truly hundreds of places around the lake that would be ideal for a jaw-dropping scenic ceremony. Need some ideas and a great photographer? Get in touch with me today!
